| | The website is gradually being completed with your help.
It belongs to all the members of the congregation.
Please help where you are able.
The Diary of Events on the home page always needs information from every member of St Augustine's Church to attract new members to our Church family.
If it is blank for your activity, please email dates, times and other details from your agenda to
staugustinewhitton-website@yahoo.co.uk with subject "St Augustine Website" now.
Look below the following website status report for other recent amendments and additions to the website.
|
| 2nd April 2008 | The Bishop of Kensington, The Right Reverend Michael Colclough, asked us all at the Admission and Licensing of Readers and Commissioning of Parish Evangelist Service on the 19th September 2006 to go out into the community and evangelise. Do you know anything about St Augustine's and what we do at Church as Christians that is not already on the website?
Is your Homegroup or activity involved with the website?
Members of the congregation and PCC may like to help supply some information for the website which has been online since Christmas 2000.
Some of the linked pages have basic information only or are blank. Perhaps you could write something more informative about our Church and Christian faith.
The blank webpages mainly concern what we do at St Augustine's and the Christian faith, the services we hold, the various parts of the building etc.
What is Common Worship?
What do we do during the Family Service?
What is a Solemn Mass?
What happens at Stations of the Cross, or Evensong?
(The text from 3 services of Stations of the Cross is online already)
What are the various parts of the Church?
Imagine if you had never been inside a Church and did not know.
This is our opportunity to tell people - me, you, all of us!
Other webpages supported by the Parish Office include baptism, wedding and funeral - who to contact, fees payable. Mostly they will not need to be amended for many years once written except for pages containing current fees etc. Some webpages are for current activities and should ideally be kept up to date by you and me.
The not yet complete webpages are all shown here. They will be ticked (√) once they contain a short sentence or so. Even then, more information may still be needed to make them more informative and interesting.

Please write a short paragraph for one or two of the webpages.
It would be very useful and may help the unchurched who find our website understand why we belong to Church and the meaning of Christianity and community care that lives in us.
It might encourage them to join St Augustine's or their own local Church. |
