Latest News
The weekly church notices are now usually put online by the vicar or the parish office in the St Augustine Whitton message group. You can still read the church notices if you are away on holiday.

Church members should join to read and post the latest news and keep in touch.

Younger people who use a PC or laptop as a matter of routine every day and belong to MSN Messenger will find the message group very easy to use.

Join now by clicking this link.
Mixed Discussion Group
See the Diary of Events on this page for the venue at lunchtime on the 2nd Friday of the month in January, March, May, July, September and November. All welcome.

To avoid disappointment, always tell other members if you plan to attend.

The Mixed Discussion Group meets every Wednesday evening from 9.00-11.00 p.m. and occasionally at short notice after Mass on Sundays, in Whitton Community Centre bar for which membership of Whitton Community Association is required.
Men's Discussion Group
See the Diary of Events on this page for the venue at lunchtime on the 2nd Friday of the month in February, April, June, August, October and December. All St Augustine's men welcome.

We also meet during the evening on the 4th Tuesday of the month in the Admiral Nelson pub, Whitton High Street and at various other times and locations at short notice. All meetings are normally advertised on this page.
Church Photographs
We are grateful to Colin Reay from Whitton Photographic Club who took many of the recent photographs of St Augustine's Church. The ceiling in Our Lady Chapel has been repainted with gold stars since taking the photographs.
St Augustine's and Homelink
now have a Facebook Group
Join www.facebook.com today.

St. Augustine of Canterbury and Day Respite Care at Homelink Whitton is a Facebook group.

Join it to keep in touch with your friends at church and Homelink.

A new member of St Augustine's said on Sunday 13th April 2008 that it would be nice if there could be a way to display photos of members of the congregation so she could get to recognise them easily. Join Facebook and your problem will be partly solved.
A Christian way of life
Madeleine Swann has asked us to have a look at www.ibreathe.org.uk.

Perhaps we can take some of these ideas on board in our church and in our lives.

Breathe is a Christian Network for Simpler Living.

Tea or Coffee?
Come into the Church Hall for a cuppa and a chat after the service on Sunday morning.

It's a good way to make new friends and hear the latest news.

Church Cleaning Rota
Please see Sue Allsford is you would like to go on the monthly church cleaning rota.

Our church always looks so welcoming. Let's try to keep it that way.

How often do you read the
St Augustine's news online?
Please tell members of the clergy and PCC when you visit the website.

There is so much we can say
about our church,
and our faith
to local people
and invite them
into our church family.

Let us all join together
in our local mission.

Whitton Network
Supports many people in various ways, especially with volunteer drivers to help people get to hospital appointments, etc. and ensuring that they arrive safely and comfortably.

At present there are 245 clients half of whom are over age 80.

They need more drivers.

If you want to know more, please take a leaflet from church or ring Ann Lamacraft on 0208 755 1336.
Anything changed online here?
The what's new in the website page will tell you.
Please help us keep the website interesting
Webpages to show current information are set up for all links from both the home page and the church history page. Some current pages may be blank or contain basic information. Members of the PCC have set up a group to look at the website and will fill in the missing details in due course. Please look at the list that needs completing in What's New in the Website.

Consider supplying up to date information wherever you are able to help.

The links on the left hand side of this page change colour once visited.

Please supply current information about your group or activity. As some of the webpages are becoming out of date, email revised information to us. Have a look at the webpages for your activities or interests now.

Even if you missed the APCM booklet this year, it is always a good time to include your latest report in the Church website as many people who do not attend Church regularly visit the website.
